How do we remember? Is there a difference between the way we recall our personal and our collective histories? How can a collective memory from the distant past still seem familiar? What role do archives play in the stories we tell each other? As artist in residence at Perth & Kinross Council Archives these were some of the questions that intrigued me. An Archive is a place where people search for answers. I found a place full of questions – a hall of mirrors reflecting an infinite number of pasts. |
